Please welcome the Nordland General Store’s General Manager, Brian Waldera!
Brian is a full-time island resident with a terrific background in both IT and business, including stints at NBC Universal, GE Healthcare, and the PGA Tour (and yes, Brian is a golfer—ask him about his handicap and his favorite courses!)
But more than that, Brian is an avid crabber, clammer, and oyster farmer here on the island—and grows a pretty darn good cherry tomato in the summer too. When not at the store you can find him quaffing a craft beer on the back porch enjoying the nature and water views of our amazing Marrowstone Island. He’s just as likely to ride his bike or kayak to work as he is to walk or drive from the peaceful Fort Gate Road home he shares with his partner Paddy (She’s pretty great too—and her family has island roots going back nearly six decades!)
