Thanksgiving Provisions, Leprechauns & Gifts

Tomato-loving two-year-old Aleila and her dad Layne gave our new shopping carts a solid thumbs up!

Sorry about the tomato seeds and juice on your cozy outfit!

Speaking of red, we hope Aleila and her parents are on the Nordland General Store pier at 11 am on Sunday, December 15. The Marrowstone Island Santa prefers a boat over sleigh for transport!

Let us help you with a delicious host gift for the holidays.

We have endless combinations of crackers, fruit preserves, tinned seafood and locally cured meat waiting for you.

This is your store open for business during the bomb cyclone.

Thank you Double D Electrical for hustling to install our generator to keep the lights on when the island lost power.

Did you know this year the Nordland Garden Club donated the fragrant holiday wreaths on our storefront?

And did you know for the prior 26 years garden club member Marcy personally donated wreaths? Here is 91 year-old Marcy with our lovely Ally. Yup, Marcy wanted to be on the ladder! Marcy started coming to the store in 1943 and recalls her family running up a store tab and paying it down with each clam harvest!

Members, did you know you can set up a Nordland General Store pre-paid account?

Super helpful when you want to send your son-in-law to the store to pick up last minute Thanksgiving items. We wonder what he’ll add to your shopping list!

Helen & Ed buying organic groceries at Nordland General Store Marrowstone Island

How can you not adore Helen and Ed?

These part-time islanders have lived a combined 177 years. They started as high school friends, lived separate lives for decades and have now been together for 17 years. They keep coming back to visit with our fun, caring staff and to fill their basket with produce, groceries and gifts. See that Pane d’Amore croissant? It disappeared before we finished ringing up their order!

Organic Produce at Nordland General Store Marrowstone Island

Nordland General Store members: Enjoy 10% off our organic and local farm produce between now and November 27.

We are Thanksgiving ready!

Meet Mark from Sailing S Orchard & Apiary in Sequim.

Mark brought us pints and quarts of honey and honeycomb. We are so happy to have local honey available to sweeten your days!

We’re not sure, but we think Mark may be a leprechaun holding a pot of gold(en honey)!

Gingerbread Replica of Nordland General Store Marrowstone Island

Masterminds Katie and MaryBeth created a gingerbread replica of our store.

On display through the holidays! Thank you Alanna for engraving the Marrowstone sign (on gingerbread!).
