Biking, seasonal giving and selecting win

We love to chat with islanders Devon and Jim after their bike rides.

Jim is training for a 3,000 mile bike ride next spring from the southern tip of Italy to the northern tip of Scotland! This duo stops in almost daily for produce and plans to do their holiday shopping at our store. Forgot to ask. Are you wearing bike helmets to stay safe in the store or do you have impressive helmet hair?

Rick with organic groceries at Nordland General Store Marrowstone Island

Meet member Rick.

He lives on Marrowstone Island and picks up his entire grocery haul for the week at the Nordland General Store. We love seeing Rick’s smile and we also love his basket made by the multi-talented islander Radha. We’re hoping she’s back to crafting baskets again soon!

Meredith and Peter buying organic groceries at Nordland General Store Marrowstone Island

Marrowstone residents Meredith and Peter love discovering new selections at their community store.

Their favorites are It’s a Wrap burritos, Toby’s spread and Key City smoked halibut fish. They say the store feels like home. Which it should! This talented duo helped us design our store layout and lighting. Thank you friends!

Local Wine at Nordland General Store Marrowstone Island

Did you know we taste EVERY bottle of wine in our store before we select it for our shelves?

We have at least 8 volunteers sampling wine at each tasting event. These brave souls put their taste buds on the line to help us improve our offerings. Knowledgeable about wine and interested in tasting?

For the month of December, we are donating 5% of all sales from our Nordland General Store branded wine and coffee to Olympic Angels.

Olympic Angels provides support to children, youth and families who are experiencing foster care in our community. We are honored to give to such a vital organization during this giving season.
