Celebrations, holiday lights and whipped cream

Store members wearing Nordland General Store aprons smiling in front of serving food to members at meeting

Our annual member meeting was a night of celebration and merriment.

Thank you Lee, Carol, Linda, Susan and Rebecca for making the evening special. We are grateful to the Nordland Garden Club for providing a gathering place for our overflowing crowd. We envisioned creating a simple general store. What we built together is a space that binds us as a community.

Shoppers with organic bread at Nordland General Store Marrowstone Island

These islanders are regular shoppers who love our Pane d’Amore bread and Port Townsend Roasting coffee.

Martina delights in bringing friends to the store. Cindy welcomes having treats around the corner. And Amie says having a local store is a procrastinator’s best friend. No planning necessary, just come and be inspired. It’s always a party with this trio!

Tom and Sue are continuing their tradition of helping us celebrate this season of light and hope.

We are grateful for the festive lights that anchor us to our island and to our community store.

Andrea with peppermint mocha at Nordland General Store Marrowstone Island

Meet Andrea, island resident since 1987.

Andrea left briefly to live in Hawaii, but decided Marrowstone is a better island and returned home. Andrea loves our carefully tended produce, gift selection and Elevated strawberry ice cream. And apparently she likes whipped cream topped with peppermint candy crumbles. Doesn’t everyone?!
