Winter solstice, bubbles and cozy holidays
We love Winter Solstice.
Five added seconds of daylight on December 22 and 293 added seconds by December 31. It doesn’t sound like much, but like supporting your community store, it adds up. We hope you enjoy the extra light while continuing to appreciate the stillness of our long nights.
Brooke and Piper have been saving money doing chores.
These almost 5 year-old twins set the table, clean the floor and clear dishes to help mom and dad. And they use their chore money to buy candy at our store. We are thrilled that this special family is building a home and putting down roots on our island.
It’s a long way from the North Pole, but Santa arrived by boat with his well organized clipboard-toting elf.
He twinkled his way through tales of perfect behavior and gift lists. Santa, we are grateful for your visit to our magical island. Next time please bring Mrs. Claus!
There was a lot of family love on the Nordland dock with Santa.
Hank (12) and Seth (7) were all smiles even though we know they were missing Rylee (17) who was having her own birthday fun in Seattle at the aquarium. Stunning family.
We added to our bubbles collection just in time for the holidays.
All selections have been tasted and approved just for you. We had extra fun making bistro chairs and tables from all of the bottles we sampled. Burp.
Interested in adding Moonlight Oysters to your holiday festivities?
Ralph will be delivering fresh Marrowstone oysters to the store on December 28.
Call us at 360-385-3737 or email us to place your pre-order by noon on December 24.
We will have a limited quantity available for walk-up sales.
Whether your days are full of merriment or quiet reflection, we wish you peace and light.
Whatever this holiday season means to you, your Nordland General Store is honored to be here for you.
For the month of December, we are donating 5% of all sales from our Nordland General Store branded wine and coffee to Olympic Angels.
Olympic Angels provides support to children, youth and families who are experiencing foster care in our community. We are honored to give to such a vital organization during this giving season.
