Tomato-licious Time at the Nordland General Store!

We wait all year for the simplest pleasures.

Visit us for lucious Midori Farm slicing tomatoes and enjoy the easiest meal of the season. Caprese salad is a universal favorite and we have loads of tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, SpringRain Farm basil and plenty of balsamic vinegar and olive oil choices. Add a bottle of wine and you have a fully balanced meal!

Meet the mother daughter duo Kate and Koshalla.

We have high expectations for the Sunfield Waldorf kindergarten teacher, but we were blown away when Koshalla and her mom came prepared with ceramic cups, plates and cloth napkins for their Nordland General Store espresso drinks and Pane d’Amore croissants. We love seeing these full-time island residents on our front porch!

Have you seen this addition to our porch?

Local islander Wayne worked with Marrowstone youth to create this free library and toy cubby made entirely from recycled materials. Five-year old Stephan donated his toys and four-year old Waylon helped with varnish and painting. Bring your books, puzzles and toys to share. Thank you little June for showing us how the magic happens!

Greet Loomis and Helen from Robbins Road.

They are self-described candy enthusiasts and have been coming to the Nordland General store for a sugar fix for 30 years. It looks like they have expanded their horizons with whole coho salmon from Cape Cleare Fishery and cold adult beverages. Loomis and Helen can’t wait for the next Nordland Polar Bear Plunge and Tractor Days!

Walter, Sarah and Odin drove their 1931 Ford Roadster to the store from Port Townsend.

Whether they travel by Roadster or their Harleys, they love visiting the Nordland General Store for hot and iced lattes. Watching Odin arrive is the best!

Have you met these three powerhouse women?

From left, Sarah, Chelsie and MaryBeth are our store managers and they keep our store humming. Love our bountiful produce? Thank Sarah. Love the local artisan crafts and store merchandise? Thank Chelsie. Love the tasty pastries, breads and coffee? Thank MaryBeth. We are so lucky to have these women and our entire staff making our days brighter.
