Sunshine and Smiles!

Amber and Matt shopped with their 3-year-old twins, Willie and Gus, on their way to Fort Flagler.

This adorable family just moved to the Peninsula from Brooklyn. Mom and dad love our selection of easy snacks. They said our staff is “kind to our active, rambunctious boys”. We love the boys’ energy and can’t wait to have you back!

Steve and Monica stopped in after birding at Fort Flagler.

They ran into their friend Helen who introduced them to her friend Janet. Helen and Janet had just finished creating wildlife habitats in the Chai-yahk-wh Preserve. And that’s how we build human and wildlife communities on Marrowstone Island!

We have a new discovery!

We are proud to now offer the delicious Pacific Northwest IPA from Talking Cedar Brewing. Learn more about the Chehalis tribe’s quest to open a brewery on reservation lands here.

In honor of our local tribes we carry “Still Here: Portraits of the Chemakum”, from the Chemakum Council and “Willow Whoops” and “The čičməhán Trail” from the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe.

Looking for an earthy tea this cold and flu season? Try SovereignNDNTea made from labrador tea harvested, dried and packaged on the Olympic Peninsula by Quinault tribal elder Jean Ramos.

Our good friend Brian is gathering traffic data to help us apply for vehicle and pedestrian safety enhancements around the store.

We promise, he cannot issue speeding tickets! Thank you Brian for working hard to keep our community safe.

John and Janet told us they are addicted to our store.

They love the leisurely drive from Port Townsend to Marrowstone and said our store is the perfect stopping place. This week they loaded up on Valentine’s Day gifts for their granddaughters. This sweet couple met in Panama where Janet was teaching and John was a ship’s pilot navigating the canal. How cool is that?!

This week was Sonia’s last pick up for The Nest in Port Townsend.

Sonia has been collecting our slow moving and soon-to-expire food each Tuesday for youth who visit The Nest. We will miss Sonia’s must-do attitude and radiant smile. We wish her well on her next adventure. We can’t wait to meet our new Nest volunteer!

Welcome back Rat Island rowers!

We are impressed with your year-round enthusiasm and energetic smiles. It is so fun watching you arrive by water and we are honored to serve you drinks and snacks after your row.
