Trifecta! Talent Show, Super Bowl and Valentine’s Day!

Meet Marrrowstone Island shopper-in-training Mabel!

At 17 months, Mabel is already practicing full basket shopping. She’s a huge fan of our organic fruit and may or may not sample a grape or three before checking out. Thank you board members Carol and John for our new pint-sized shopping carts!

Port Townsend residents Katy and Jakob brought three-month-old Bruce in for a store visit.

Bruce doesn’t get to visit many places, but he loves coming to our store. We are swooning over those striking baby blues! Katy used to live on the island and is fond of our community and sparkling water views.

We L-O-V-E Valentine’s Day and have traditional and novel options for inspiring romance.

Big Dipper scented and unscented candles, novelty chocolate from Elevated Candy Co., multiple bottles of bubbles and many other gift ideas. Whether you want to treat yourself (we are huge fans of practicing self-love) or someone else, we’re ready to play Cupid. Need a Valentine? We’re available!

You know what they say about oysters!

Call us or visit before Tuesday, February 11* to order Marrowstone’s own Moonlight Oysters. Ralph will be delivering oysters for pickup on Valentine’s Day, February 14.

*Pre-payment required.

We can’t help but smile when Marrowstone islander Glenda waltzes into our store.

She says the Nordland General Store is just the right size for bumping into friends and neighbors. She is grateful to one-stop-shop for organic greens, gifts for her two granddaughters and Cearra’s cinnamon rolls for her husband Peter. We usually limit photos to one per shopper in each newsletter, but we had to share the photo of Glenda shopping for stuffies in our toy section. Adorbs!

Our 6th District Congresswoman Emily Randall brought her three puppies for a Fort Flagler walk last weekend.

She said she wanted to stop at the store and see it “in all of its glory”. Emily shared that representing this community is a real honor because of our incredible people. Thank you for supporting our community store!

Friends Jess, Jeffery, Becky and Mike ran into each other in the produce aisle.

They had plenty of room to talk while shopping. Creating a community space means as much to us as selling groceries, wine + beer, and gifts. Come in for shopping and stay for chatting!

Local islanders Lori and Glen gifted their Georgia friends, Karen and Mark, Nordland General Store logo wear last fall.

After months of waiting, Karen and Mark were finally able to visit us in person. They appreciated the uniqueness of our store and think being a community co-op makes us extra special. We agree!

Bob came prepared with a recipe and left with all of the ingredients he needed for sticky miso salmon.

Yum. And where’s our invite?
