Two kinds of kids, tea rainbows and fresh team smiles!
Meet 8 month-old Kai and his mom Courtney.
We love Kai’s cherubic cheeks! Mom is grateful for our many gluten free options and loves grabbing coffee and a snack before paddle boarding in Mystery Bay or hiking in Fort Flagler. Courtney says she “just loves the aesthetic and unique selection, the store is truly a gem”.
We were honored to meet the first two Mystery Bay Farm kids of the season.
This fiesty American Alpine dairy goat and her brother were born six hours before this photo was taken. There are twenty-four pregnant goats at Mystery Bay Farm. Which means a steady supply of delicious chevré for all of us!
Have a friend feeling under the weather?
Looking for a way to add yummy + cozy to your winter day? We have a wide selection of teas including the newly added Blue Lotus masala chai. Free of sweeteners, milk powder + additives, this is one of many teas we are proud to offer. And we have hand-crafted ceramic cups and mugs from potter Steve Eiger. We wonder who will snag the sweet Eiger tea pot!
We are always happy to see Port Townsend family Makensie, Justin and Emeline.
Three year-old Emeline zipped around our aisles like a pro! Last week the family tried each of Cearra’s cookies (chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, cowboy + oatmeal raisin). They declared all perfect and returned for the same assortment this week. How sweet!
Meet our two newest team members, Juli (left) and Nancy (right).
Fun fact about Juli. She is a wild animal rescue enthusiast and bottle fed a baby opossum she said was “equal parts sinister and funny”. Fun fact about Nancy. She’s worked with herbs and gardens since she was 16. Ask her anything about our produce. We guarantee you’ll feel healthier just talking to her!
Coffee with the Chief
Fire Chief Bret Black knowledgeably answered our questions about fire safety and prevention, emergency services and so much more during the MIF sponsored Coffee with the Chief. We all left the discussion more aware, prepared and ready to do our part to keep our community safe. Thank you Chief!
We believe in all things local and our bank, 1st Security Bank of Washington, is no exception.
Ashton is always ready to help us with deposits, change requests and behind-the-scenes banking that keeps our store operating. Ashton loves visiting our store and says our blueberries are the best she’s ever had!
Thank you to all Marrowstone Island talent show performers.
We are grateful to MICA for reminding us what makes our community so special. Harpist Paula is always ready to play and sing our beloved island anthem.
I’m not crying. You’re crying.

What do you have for the February blues?
The three “c’s”: candles. cookies. chocolate.
Is that a permit application in the window?
Kind of. it’s an addition to our wine + beer license to allow us to offer tastings. fingers crossed!
