Upcycling, Peanut Sauce and a Chance to Win!

Meet 2 year-old Rune.

This shopper-in-training visited with his dad Stewart. Stewart told us he used to ride his bike to the store for penny candy back when there was a gas pump at the store! Now he stops for staples, local beer and organic produce on his way to visit his parents on Marrowstone. Have fun with your grandparents Rune!

Welcome March!

It’s been a lovely winter, but we’re ready for spring! Jilly and Hallee took advantage of this week’s delightful sunshine and removed our holiday wreaths. We’re already planning flowers for the front porch!

We now offer Marrowstone’s own Fastbreaker farm-fresh eggs!

Cidney and Anderson involve their entire Brady Bunch clan (blended family of 5 children). Anderson’s daughter designed their logo and all of the kids jumped in to set up hen houses. You can also find Fastbreaker at the Chimacum and PT Farmers markets offering Belgian waffles!

Carolyn and Evan split their time between Vashon and Marrowstone (guess they like islands!)

They appreciate our selection of gluten + dairy free items and adore our Newquist Forge hand hammered cookware. These two artists have been married 51 years and say our store is visually beautiful. We’re blushing!

Deb and Jack took advantage of the sunshine and chatted with us on our porch.

Deb makes our upcycled cashmere mitts and headbands. These Hadlock residents appreciate our community focus. They keep returning to our “heartwarming” store for favorites like dried apricots + handmade cards!

WIN a $25 Nordland General Store gift card!

14 items were purchased at the store to make this Sticky Miso Salmon bowl. First person to send an email with the correct ingredients will win a gift card! Hint: We don’t sell miso (yet).

You can now find Thaifusions Co. peanut sauce and panang curry at your Nordland General Store.

Learn Thaifusions’ story and find tasty recipes for their products here. We have lots of inspiring Asian ingredients waiting for you!

This is Hannah, our new pickup volunteer from The Nest in Port Townsend.

We are happy to have grateful recipients of our slow moving and soon-to-expire food items. Hannah loves opening young minds and helping youth explore their passions.

Thank you Hannah!
